Fiction
Everyone has a story to tell, but that doesn't mean everyone knows how to tell
it--at least, at first. Many writers face friends, agents, and editors telling them
that their story, for some unknown reason, "just doesn't speak to me" or "just
doesn't work." Click

novelist's work around.

ESL
English is one of the most complex languages on earth, and a tiny mistake
can cost a writer the respect of an audience. Click

improves one ESL writer's project.

Nonfiction / Essay
Nonfiction writers have it tough--they have to take fascinating ideas, spend
hours or months or years researching them, and then boil them down to
something that will interest people who don't find those ideas interesting
enough to do that kind of work. Even a short application essay for graduate
school can be a huge undertaking. Click

for one struggling would-be student.

Screenplay
A good screenwriter has a good ear for story, a gift for making characters come
alive, and a keen sense of timing. A
successful screenwriter is one who can get
his or her screenplays past script readers and into the hands of decision
makers. Unfortunately, many script readers stop reading after the first typo!

the story.
