This blog is going to be an occasional list of the strange and interesting things I get to work on as an editor. Mostly I’ll be writing about what I’m up to right now, but occasionally I’ll go back and list some “greatest hits”–the most interesting or unusual projects I’ve done in the past.
And so, for Day One of my blog, I’ll just say that I spent Wednesday morning editing a coloring book about crustaceans (Shrimp and Lobsters and Crabs, Oh My! for The Nature Kid), the afternoon leading a lit class discussing Theodore Taylor’s The Cay, and the evening editing a scholarly article on a couple post-Soviet travelogues written by Ukrainian authors. Lobsters, voodoo cats, and Chernobyl all in one day. I love my job.
