Coaching

You know you can be a great writer. You don’t know how—yet. What you need is a writing coach.

A coach? Sure. Gymnasts have coaches. Singers have coaches. Writing is every bit as difficult, and every bit as rewarding, as any sport or any kind of music. If you go to the gym, you want a personal trainer. If you want to be a great writer, you want a writing coach. That’s why I offer private, confidential online writing instruction for children, college students, and adults.

As an editor, I can make your writing great. As a coach, I can teach you to make it magnificent—whether you’re 14 years old or 80, whether your first language is English or Cantonese. I can create a custom curriculum to meet any student’s needs, and meet with you via Skype to go over your writing. I’ve taught writing seminars in schools and online. I can show you what books to read, what kind of practice to do, and how to see your writing in a new light. You’ll have fun learning, too.

Don’t believe me? Here’s a video I recorded for Educator.com, about 10 sets of commonly confused words. Watch for the chicken joke, and contact me to set up a sample online lesson.
